Brazil Train in Sao Paulo Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers Against Chile And Peru

The Brazil national team held their first training session on Monday afternoon ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Led by Real Madrid duo of Rodrygo and Endrick as well as Arsenal center back Gabriel, the team went through their drills at the Palmeiras academy grounds in Sao Paulo.

Currently sitting 5th on the qualifying standings with 10 points from 8 matches, Brazil will be desperate to win their next two matches and maybe climb a little bit up the log to at least silence some of their critics who have raised alarm over the team's lackluster form.

The most worrying fact is that Brazil have lost 4 of their last 5 qualification matches. And while losing to Argentina, Uruguay, and Colombia can be understandable, their 1-0 defeat by 57th FIFA ranked Paraguay in their last match was quite concerning especially considering their performance in that match.

Despite of starting a line-up of Alisson, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Danilo, Guimaraes, Lucas Paqueta, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Endrick, Brazil were comprehensively outplayed by Paraguay, failing to hit the target in the whole of the first half and finishing the match will only 3 shots on goal all from Vinicius.

It will therefore be a huge task for Dorival Junior to guide them into beating Chile in Santiago on Thursday and Peru next Tuesday in the absence of Alisson, Vinicius and Militao due to injuries.
