A video has emerged showing PSG manager Luis Enrique blasting Kylian Mbappe over his usual concerning defending problems.

In a scene from Enrique's documentary, 'You Don't Have a Clue,' the Spaniard is involved in a brutal one-on-one with Mbappe at PSG's team conference room in Paris last season.

Enrique is heard partly telling Mbappe, "I read that you like Michael Jordan. Well, he used to grab his teammates by the balls and defend like a son of a b*tch. You're a phenomenon without a doubt, but that doesn't matter to me. A true leader is who can help us in everything defensively when he is not helping with the goals. The day that you don't attack, you have to be the best player in history in defending. You have to set that example. That is a leader. That is Michael Jordan. I want you to leave here with a bang, Kiki."

The 25-year-old, who has since joined Real Madrid, nodded in agreement with the two leaving the room through opposite doors.

Enrique is not the first manager to acknowledge Mbappe's dislike of his defending duties which has been his biggest shortcoming despite of being unarguably one of the best players in the world.

Even in his teens, the Frenchman hated defending and actually missed out on an opportunity to join the Chelsea academy as a 13-year-old after the coaches at Cobham rejected him because the same issue.

Fortunately, his incredible attacking abilities have overshadowed his defensive flaws as it's just impossible to hate a player who has scored 290 goals and assisted 125 times in 378 senior games, regardless of his work rate off the ball.
