Erik Ten Hag NOT Afraid Of The Sack At Manchester United After Defeat By Tottenham

Erik ten Hag is not afraid of being sacked despite of growing calls for his dismissal from Manchester United supporters following their 3-nil home defeat by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Speaking after the match, ten Hag said, "I'm not thinking about being sacked. We all made the decision to stay together. Ownership, staff, players and myself. We made the decision from a clear review of what we have to do. We knew it would take some time. We are on the same page together."

The Dutch then promised a quick bounce back from the awful Sunday performance that had them conceding in the 3rd minute before frustrations mounted leading to Bruno Fernandes' red card towards the end of the first half. Spurs then made it 2-nil 2 minutes after the restart before Solanke sealed the 3-nil thrashing 13 minutes from time.

While ten Hag remains confident that United will turn things around after their most underwhelming start to a season in the club's Premier League era, he might find himself on the chopping board if he cannot inspire wins in the next few games.

Incredibly though is that ten Hag has a worse record than Gary Neville had in his short spell in charge of Valencia. Considered to be one of the worst performances by any manager, Neville lost 11 times as his team scored 39 goals and conceded 38 times in 28 games his 4 months at Valencia in 2016. In comparison, ten Hag has lost 13 times with the Reds scoring 35 goals and conceding 10 more in their last 28 matches.

Hopefully, the former Ajax boss will get the Reds back to winning ways because according to reports, defeats in the next 2 games, against FC Porto and Aston Villa could seal his fate.
