Erik ten Hag Reaction to Jadon Sancho Performance on Loan at Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has stated that Jadon Sancho's pick in form at Borussia Dortmund does not change the strained relationship between them.

Following the 23-year-old's decent performance during Dortmund's 4-2 win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinal second leg on Tuesday in which he played for 86 minutes, ten Hag was asked if that changed anything.

"It was a fantastic game and for Sancho it's good news because he made his contribution to the result for Dortmund. But nothing has changed and that is not the issue," said ten Hag who publicly fell out with the winger last October and froze him from the squad ever since before his eventual exile to Bundesliga on loan this January.

Even though Erik ten Hag praised Sancho's talent which he struggled to fully show at Old Trafford since signing in July 2021, judging from the remarks the forward's career with the Reds seems over unless their is a change in manager.

But Despite of his uncertain future at United, Sancho has so far done well for himself at Dortmund, enough to possibly attract decent interests this summer. Since returning to Germany, he has so far scored twice, the first in one of his 6 starts in Bundesliga before netting to help BVB beat PSV 2-0 in the Champions League round of 16 second leg. He has also registered 2 assists which came in his first two games after returning to Germany.

It only remains to be seen whether Sancho gets a new lease of life at Man United or if his performance on loan will be decent enough to earn him a move away from Manchester.
