Kylian Mbappe Meeting President Macron Emir of Qatar and PSG President at Elysee Palace

Kylian Mbappe is set to attend a state dinner hosted by the French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace on Tuesday evening. Even though it's been reported that other football players have also been invited, the timing of the event and the expected presence of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani who owns PSG as well as the club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has aroused speculations across social media circles given that it's only been 12 days since Mbappe announced his planned departure from the club at the end of this season.

Although the French president has personally admitted to have been previously involved in convincing the French football crown jewel to stick with the Parisians in 2022, the Tuesday evening invitation is reportedly to be in honor of the visiting Qatari leader rather than an attempt to sway Mbappe's plans for the future as it's believed, both PSG and President Macron understand that the forward has already made up his mind.

As speculation range on the whether their is more to the forwards invitation than meets the eye, it's been reported that the Qatari Premier is visiting Paris to help in negotiations of a ceasefire and the release of hostages between the warring Israel and Hamas.

Anyway, it's probably going to be an awkward meeting of the 4 gentlemen but it will only remain to be seen whether President Macron successfully undertakes his confessed 'responsibility of defend the country informally and in a friendly manner' by advising the wantaway star to extend his spell in the capital or if the meeting will prove inconsequential to Mbappe's unofficially completed switch to Real Madrid this summer.
